1. Purpose:
This policy is designed to apply the best practices of all federal, provincial and municipal regulatory bodies during the COVID-19 pandemic to ensure the safety of all Liftex Equipment Rentals Inc. personnel, family members, customers, vendors and all members of the community as a whole.
2. Scope:
The following policy will apply to all Liftex employees, as well as any site visitors, vendors or other types of sub contractors working either for, or on behalf of Liftex Equipment Rentals.
3. Responsibilities:
It is the responsibility of each member of the Liftex team to read and take ownership of this policy. Not only by conducting themselves in a manner according to the specific operational guidelines of this policy. But to also take an active role in the direct stewardship and enforcement of this policy by assisting any visitors or members in its specific requirements.
4. Liftex Specific Requirements:
A. Social Distancing and Requirements Regarding the Use of Masks
Provincial regulation has requested that all individuals wear masks when in environments where social distancing may be challenged. This policy will reflect this request by requiring all employees to where masks in any situation where a minimum of 6’ of separation will prove challenging.
- If you leave your immediate work area you will be required to wear a mask while transitioning through the facility or yard space.
- It will be required to wear a mask during any direct interaction with a customer, vendor, or co-worker.
- Overhead workflow layouts will be positioned at each branch to illustrate required directions of travel on the property as well as any designated mask wearing zones and also sanitization stations.
- Even in a non designated mask wearing zone, Liftex employees and all site visitors will be required to wear a mask if a safe distance cannot be easily maintained for any reason.
- A mask will also be required if you are travelling in any Liftex vehicle with another individual.

B. Surface Cleaning

- It is required for everyone to use disinfectant when entering these areas and is also the responsibility of each individual to use a disinfectant cleaner to wipe down any surfaces they have come in contact with while in that common area.
- This will also include all high contact surfaces in vehicles, mobile equipment, and all other surface areas. Upon the completion of use of any vehicle or mobile equipment, the steering wheel, shifter, and all other control surfaces must be wiped down with a disinfectant.
C. Daily Sign In
In accordance with regulatory best practices, Liftex will be implementing a digital sign in questionnaire that will be required to be filled out each day by all employees and site visitors.

- Using the QR code each individual will complete a digital symptom questionnaire prior to entering the premises or beginning their shift.
D. Protocol for Individuals Demonstrating Signs of Symptoms
- If an individual has recently demonstrated any potential symptoms of illness, they will be required to:
I. Notify their immediate supervisor and report their symptoms.
II. Follow the link to their provincial health site to determine next steps.
- After completing the questionnaire on the provincial website, they will follow the recommendations laid out by the province and discuss the results with their supervisor.
5. Off Site Specific Requirements:
As an ambassador of Liftex the safety of everyone, whether at home or in your personal life, is your responsibility. Therefor all Liftex employees will be required to follow this policy as a minimum when acting on behalf of the company on all customer sites, vendor facilities or any other locations while conducting Liftex business.

7. Rulings and Site-Specific Judgements
It is understood that there will be unique situations at each Branch that may require a judgement call as it may not be directly referenced within in this policy. These individual situations will be reviewed and decided upon by the Branch Managers. This information will then be relayed to senior management in order to confirm that regulatory requirements are being met and also to discuss if any revision of this policy document is required.
